This was amazingly the only picture I got from this weekend! (Lewis)
It was BRCA R4 and on a new track for the series.
Boughton was a Astro track but it was very loose. The cars drifted around the track, which was pretty cool but very set up dependant, something we didn’t quite get right.
Now I have had time to sit and think about set up changes, I think I could have made it work. But most things I tried this weekend worked in the opposite way to what I expected.
Either way we came home with 2 x 2nd places for the race.
Congrats to Neil for winning the 2wd championship after some faultless displays.
In 4wd I was using the car I used at the Japanese nationals. First time in these low grip conditions and it just took a while to work it out. Once I did though it was fast and jumped amazing! Just a difficult qualifying session reduced my chance of victory and 2nd was how I ended up.
Very positive race for test reasons alone though as we head into the euros week!!!!
Congrats to the Boughton club, the track area and its professionalism was great! A few track improvements and this would really be an awesome venue!
